In today’s time, the mid-range smartphone market in India is very competitive and crowded. Phones are constantly being launched in this segment, and choosing is even more difficult and sometimes boring. But today, POCO F7 has entered this budget. It is not a flagship but a mid-range, but despite this, it seems to be leaving behind the smartphones of many famous brands in the segment. Now the question is, does POCO F7 have everything that the other mid-range phones currently available could not provide? Let’s find out.

At the forefront of performance and design
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, given for smooth performance in this phone, does not seem to be a mid-range chip in any way. Earlier this chipset has also been seen in gaming focused phones like iQOO Neo 1,0, and Nothing Phone 3 is also going to knock with it in July. Along with this, it also has UFS 4.1 storage, LPDDR5X RAM, which shows that POCO did not compromise on hardware this time.
Now talking about the design, POCO has chosen a very different and bold design this time. Its silver variant has a Snapdragon embossed back, flat edges, and an IP68 rating, which gives it a premium look.
Flagship quality, like display and battery
The 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display comes with Dolby Vision, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. It is also quite bright with 3200 nits brightness. Apart from this, features like 3840Hz PWM dimming also make it comfortable for the eyes. You also get the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on this.

Talking about the battery, the biggest surprise here is that this is the first phone to come with the largest 7550mAh battery in India at the moment. This battery can last for more than a day and a half without any problem, and also gets fully charged in 45 minutes with 90W fast charging. This is great for those users who are looking for a long backup.
It is a little behind in camera and software, but still a great deal
However, the POCO F7 also has some weaknesses that cannot be ignored. It has a 50MP+8MP camera setup, which is decent, but it will not be able to match the photography quality of a phone like the iQOO Neo 10. But this does not mean that it does bad photography. It has a Sony IMX882 sensor, which we have seen in many other phones, and it does good photography, but it is just not the best in this budget.
Also, there is a bit of bloatware in the software, which might dampen your experience a bit, but the good thing is that it can be removed.
So, does the POCO F7 really offer what other mid-range phones fail to offer? The answer is “almost yes”. If the camera is not your priority, then in all other respects, be it style, performance, or long-lasting battery, the POCO F7 is a great deal for you.
