Rumors have been rife for Google’s upcoming Pixel 9a, and leaks have revealed key details about its price, launch date, and specs. According to AndroidHeadlines, the Pixel 9a 128GB model will be available in the US for $499, the same as the Pixel 8a. The 256GB version will cost $649, which is $40 more than the previous version.
The Pixel 9a is expected to launch on March 26, 2025, and pre-orders will begin on March 19. The render shared by user @Ace100xd shows the device will be available in four colors: Iris, Peony, Obsidian, and Porcelain.
The Pixel 9a launch in Europe will follow the same schedule, with pre-orders starting on March 19 and sales beginning on March 26. The 128GB model will be available in all four color options, while the 256GB version will only be available in Obsidian and Iris colors. The 128GB model will cost €549 or £499, while the 256GB version will be available for €649 or £599.
The Pixel 9a will include some significant upgrades, such as a larger 5,100mAh battery, Google’s Tensor G4 processor (which will also be in the Pixel 9), and a 48MP main camera sensor for better photography. These improvements are set to make it a strong mid-range competitor. Additionally, a report claims that all variants of the Pixel 9a will come with three months of Google One (100 GB) and YouTube Premium, as well as 6 months of Fitbit Premium subscription.
While there is no information yet about pre-order deals or trade-in offers, the Pixel 9a seems to be an affordable and capable option with its specifications and price. More details are likely to emerge as the launch date approaches.
