A brand is launching excellent phones in the mid-range budget segment. We are talking about iQOO, which is launching performance focused phones. The company’s Neo series includes such mid-range smartphones, which have flagship killer power. We have been using the latest phone of this series i.e. iQOO Neo 7 Pro for some time.
iQOO Neo 7 Pro directly competes with smartphones from a segment above like OnePlus 11R and Nothing Phone 2. Now the question arises whether this smartphone comes with the specifications on paper. Able to deliver them off paper i.e. in real life. Let us know the answer in this review.
Specifications
display- 6.78-inch AMOLED screen
processor- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
camera- 50MP + 8MP + 2MP Rear
Front camera- 16MP
Battery- 5000mAh, 120W charging
Design
You do not get anything new in terms of design in iQOO Neo 7 Pro. The company has copied this design in many previous models. In this you get a flat screen, whereas these days curved screen is in trend. Apart from this, the rear panel comes with curved sides.
The camera module is the same as iQOO Neo 6. Only some minor changes have been made in it, which are hardly visible. The rear panel comes with a glossy finish. You can use the phone single handed, but its weight is around 200 grams. Overall, the smartphone looks old in terms of design.
display
Neo7 Pro has an AMOLED display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate. Be it gaming or watching any video experience, this phone does not disappoint at all. There are very few complaints regarding the display in iQOO phones.
The screen comes with HDR10+ support. Its brightness is up to 1300 Nits, which provides a good experience in real life. Whether it is used in sunlight or indoor use, the visibility of the screen is quite good. Overall the display of the smartphone is excellent.
Performance and software
The brand has launched it with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. This is a good option in mid range budget. This processor is especially seen in phones with a budget of Rs 40 thousand.
According to the price, this phone comes with a more powerful processor than its competition. This processor was used in last year’s premium phones. The device comes with up to 12GB RAM option. On this, everything from gaming to everyday work can be done easily.
In terms of software, the old problem of bloatwares is seen in the phone. The company has launched it with Android 13. By keeping a few things in mind while setting up the phone, you can avoid ads and unnecessary notifications.
Camera and other features
Compared to iQOO Neo 7, the company has made some changes in the camera in this phone. It has a 64MP main lens, 8MP ultra wide angle lens and 2MP macro lens. The main lens is good, which produces good photos in both daylight and low light conditions.
However, the 8MP ultra wide angle lens could have been improved. The company has provided a 16MP selfie camera on the front. Overall, the camera of the smartphone is decent and we have no complaints about it.
Haptic experience is also good in this. The quality of the speaker is also good. We do not face any problem regarding calls and connectivity. On this you can easily talk in hands-free mode also. The in-display fingerprint sensor of the smartphone is also fine and works fast.
Battery
The phone has a 5000mAh battery, which supports 120W fast charging. There is no answer to charging speed. You can charge it up to 50 percent in just 10 minutes. However, it takes about half an hour to get fully charged. You can easily use it throughout the day on a single charge. However, battery life largely depends on the way you use your phone.
bottom line
iQOO Neo 7 Pro is a performance oriented phone. In this you will not find any complaint regarding performance. The camera is also good and the quality of the screen is also good. This is a better option than other phones of its competition, but it definitely disappoints a bit in terms of design. The company has not done anything new in terms of design.
