Microsoft services have been affected worldwide, due to which major banks, flights and other emergency services are getting disrupted. Due to this outage, Microsoft 365 users are unable to use many apps and services. According to the company, this problem has occurred due to a configuration change.
These configuration changes are part of the Azure backend workload, which is causing a disruption between storage and compute resources. Due to these problems, many Microsoft 365 apps are not working. This is also affecting general users.
All services have been affected
According to the Microsoft 365 Status page, the cloud service was affected at 3.26 am today and is currently experiencing service degradation. Microsoft has restored some services, after which users are able to use Microsoft Defender, Intune, OneNote and SharePoint Online. However, services of PowerBI, Fabric, Teams, Purview and Viva Engage are still down.
In India too, Indigo, Akasa Air, Air India Express and Spicejet have said that they are facing technical glitches. Due to this, there are problems ranging from ticket booking to web checking. Banks around the world are also facing problems due to this outage.

Users are complaining a lot due to Microsoft’s services outage. Some people’s systems are shutting down on their own, while many users are seeing blue screens. This outage has affected the flight operations of many countries including India and America.
Which users will be affected?
The company has stated in its recent report that this problem can affect any user who is trying to use Microsoft 365 apps and services. The company says that it is working on fixing this problem. The reason for this is a change in a code configuration.
How can you fix it?
If you are also affected by this problem, the company has posted the steps to recover it. However, this will not give you access to all the services, but you will be able to use the services that have been fixed.
- Users will first have to boot Windows into Safe Mode or Windows Recovery Environment.
- After this they will have to go to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike directory.
- After this they will have to search for C-00000291*.sys file and delete it.
- Finally, you will have to restart your system normally.
