Urban Company has recently launched new water purifiers. Among these, Native M2 RO is the flagship product of the company. Many popular air purifiers are already present in the Indian market. In such a situation, how does this air purifier of Urban Company compete with other air purifiers in the market and what is its performance, let us know in this review.
First of all, if we talk about the design, the company has kept the design quite minimalistic. There is a black color variant and a water outlet is provided in the centre. There is a guiding blue light here. When you fill water in a transparent bottle or glass, it looks wonderful. Its advantage is that you will be able to return your glass or bottle easily even in the dark.
A retractable tray is provided to keep bottles or glasses, which can be pulled out and pushed inside when not in use. It is not very sturdy, but it can comfortably hold a bottle of up to 1-2 litres.
Auto option is provided for filling glasses and bottles. You can fill a glass or bottle in one tap. But it fills only medium size glasses and 600-700ML bottles. There is also an option of FreeFlow, by tapping which you can fill as much water as you want.
I understand two problems with this water purifier. The first is that if there is a power failure, you cannot extract water from the filter. Even if the filter tank is full, water will not flow because the touch control given in it works on electricity only. The vibration should have used the inbuilt battery for some time. However, another water purifier of the same company which is cheaper than this does not have such a problem because it has a conventional tap.
The second problem is that it is not very silent during filtration. Its noise can sometimes bother you.
You are given touch control in Urban Company Native M2. It has three modes. These include glass, water and freeflow. The company has used backlit near this console. It looks even better because of the ring shaped LED. Actually, ring shaped LED is not just for looking good, but it is a notification light in a way.
It blinks during connectivity, glows when in standby and also blinks during use. It keeps blinking even if the water tank has run out of water.
This water purifier is IoT based which connects with Urban Company’s app. The life status of Pre Filter, Sediment Filter, Pre Carbon Filter and RO Membrane is visible in the app. Apart from this, information about the life of 4-1 Water Health Booster Filter and UF Membrane is also available here.
Here, every day’s water consumption is also shown to you through a graph. You also get information about when and how many liters of water was used in this app.
The strongest point of any water purifier is the filtration system provided in it. Native M2 comes with a pre filter which is installed outside the main unit. Total 6 filters are provided. These include Pre Filter, Pre Carbon Filter, RO Membrane, Alkaline and Mineral Cartridge, Post Carbon Filter and Ultra Filtration Membrane.
According to Urban Company, this water purifier removes up to 99.99% impurities from water. Talking about the taste, the taste of water really seems better.
Native M2: bottom line
Native M2 is a great looking water purifier. Comes with two years warranty. Because of this the customer also gets a piece of mind. There will be no hassle of changing the filter in between. Connectivity with the app is good. The downside is that there is no water dispense without electricity and it is noisy.
