    Lenovo has unveiled a solar-powered concept laptop. This new concept laptop will allow working on the go using solar energy and will set a new benchmark in mobile computing with eco-friendly power solutions.

    Lenovo has taken an important step towards sustainable computing by introducing its solar-powered concept laptop at MWC 2025. This new concept laptop will allow working on the go using solar energy and will set a new benchmark in mobile computing with eco-friendly power solutions. Apart from this, Lenovo has also introduced new software and accessories with its latest Yoga and IdeaPad AI laptops, which will enhance creativity and productivity.

    Lenovo Yoga Solar PC

    The Yoga Solar PC concept is designed for users who want to transform any space – indoors or outdoors – into a productive workspace. The device has the capability to charge its battery through solar panel technology. The solar panel on this laptop offers a conversion rate of over 24%, which is a major milestone in the industry. This impressive conversion rate is achieved with the help of Back Contact Cell technology, in which mounting brackets and gridlines are placed behind the solar cells so that it can absorb more energy.

    Smart use of solar energy

    This laptop is fitted with a Dynamic Solar Tracking System, which continuously monitors the current and voltage of the solar panel. It is paired with the Solar-First Energy System, which automatically adjusts the settings of the charger so that the available energy can be effectively delivered to the system. The special thing is that this solar panel can generate energy even in low light, which keeps the laptop’s battery charged even when the PC is idle.

    Design and weight

    According to Lenovo, the Yoga Solar PC Concept is the world’s thinnest and lightest solar-powered laptop. It is just 15mm thin and weighs 1.22kg, making it easy to carry anywhere. Lenovo is trying to bring functionality and environmental protection together through this concept laptop, so that there is a balance between renewable energy and innovation in the future.
