There is good news for those mobile users who often keep changing their SIM connection from prepaid to postpaid and vice versa. Actually, recently, new SIM connection rules have been implemented by the DoT, after which it has become very easy to change the connection repeatedly. Let us know about these new prepaid and postpaid rules in detail.
What are the new prepaid and postpaid rules?
Recently, DoT has made new changes regarding prepaid and postpaid connections, under which now users will not have to face the problem of waiting for 90 days when switching from one connection to another. Actually, this time period has been reduced now.
According to the new prepaid postpaid rules, if you have switched your connection from prepaid to postpaid or from postpaid to prepaid and you do not like the facility, you can switch it back after 30 days. Whereas, earlier you had to wait for 90 days for this.
However, it is important to note that if you change your connection once, then you will have to wait for 90 days. For example, you switched from prepaid to postpaid and if you did not like it, then you changed it back to prepaid after 30 days. After this, if you want to change it back to postpaid, then now you will have to wait for 90 days.
Process will be OTP based
The process of reversing the connection has also been made very easy. If you have switched from one connection to another, then to reverse that connection you just have to complete a small OTP based process. In this your number or your SIM will also change, you just have to verify your identity.
