The process of online application for the December examination of UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in 2024 has started. This examination is conducted at the national level and provides an opportunity to the candidates to become eligible for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges. Application Fee:
- general category: ₹1150/-
- OBC/EWS: ₹600/-
- SC/ST/PH: ₹325/-
- Fee can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or E-Challan.

Eligibility Criteria:
- UGC NET:Candidate must have master’s degree in the relevant subject. Also, the candidate must have at least 55% marks. (For SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates this percentage is 50%).
- JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): The age of the candidate should not be more than 31 years. (Age relaxation is given as per rules).
- Graduate: Four-year bachelor’s degree holders are also eligible to apply.
