South Korean smartphone maker Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S25 series. The company has received more than 4.3 lakh pre-orders for this smartphone series. It has overtaken Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series in terms of pre-orders. The new smartphone series includes Galaxy 25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The company’s unit in the country said that there is a strong demand for the Galaxy S25 series among young customers. These smartphones are being manufactured at Samsung‘s Noida factory in Uttar Pradesh. The Galaxy S25 series has features related to Artificial Intelligence (AI). These are also the first commercial devices with Snapdragon Satellite technology. This will provide satellite connectivity to users. With this feature, users will be able to send and receive messages via satellite using Narrowband (NB) with Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN). However, for this Samsung will have to activate satellite connectivity with a software update. The availability of this feature may also vary depending on the region. Qualcomm has said that it has optimized the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Gemini AI features. This will allow better video recording in low light even at 8K 30fps. The price of the 12 GB + 256 GB variant of the Galaxy S25 is Rs 80,999, the 12 GB + 256 GB variant of the Galaxy S25 + is Rs 99,999 and the variant with the same configuration as the Galaxy S25 Ultra is Rs 1,29,999. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 may be given the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. However, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may have the upcoming Exynos 2500 chipset. Both these smartphones can have 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB and 512 GB of storage options. The prices of Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 can be almost the same as the current Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Samsung has the largest share of the foldable smartphone market.
